New Actions

Giselle now starts dancing when she hears music, and trying to sing along at times, as you can see in the video. She did get distracted a bit as I took this video from my webcam and she could see vain little self.

Sounds of Music

Giselle loves the piano, loves when people play it and when she can be there to beat on the keys as well.

But there is more sound when she stomps on them, stronger legs.

8 Months

Giselle turned 8 months on October 25th.

As she didn't have a doctors appointment, it took a while for me to be able to weigh and measure her.

So at eight months and a week and a half:

27 1/4 inches

14 pounds 8 ounces

Little friends

Alyssa was here with us for three months, and she left on the 31st.

It's Fall

I bought her matching gloves and hat to keep her warm in Chicagoland.

Snack Time

Giselle having a snack, and feeding herself. She has been thus coordinated for around a month to a month and a half. Finally remembered to get it on video. She is puffed wheat with peaches. But another favorite is freeze dried fruit.

Sitting up by herself

My First Tooth!

Her front bottom tooth on the left side broke through the skin today!
Its about time since she's been chewing on everything for the past 4 months.

Passport

Wee little lamb is getting a passport for this winters traveling.
Put a headband on her, so it is obvious that she is a she.
And to hold her ears back a bit... heh

Beauty sleep

Here, she fell asleep while watching a video, she has been turning for a while, and is now rolling around all the time. This is the first time shes been asleep while on her stomach.

She even held her finger for comfort.

This little love is such a sleeper, sometimes she won't make it to nap or going down for the night and she'll fall asleep wherever she is, except for in arms, she has to be exhausted for that.

Sleeping schedule:
Down for the night anywhere between 7:30 -8:30
wakes up once or twice during the night to eat.
Wakes up around 7:30 and will normally go back to sleep within an hour for another hour to hour and a half.
Two and a half to three hours nap during the day.

Meat!

Loved her rib, and cried when she accidentally threw it on the floor.


So happy to be a carnivore!

Giselle stays in the swing about 90% of our time at the park.

Great Grandmother

Some more back posting from our trip.

Our visit with Giselle's great grandmother, my fathers mother.

She enjoyed our visit, and Giselle was a very happy girl the whole time, even on the 9 hour round trip to see her.

Aunt Kellye

Got to stay with aunt Kellye during our trip last month, for a whole week.
A couple days after coming home, Giselle had a wakeful hour at 3:00 a.m. I gave her my phone to entertain herself, and she ended up calling Kellye. So sweet but a little early.

New Experiences

Because of the heat during our visit to Louisiana and Texas, Giselle started having a juice bottle, she loved it, and would hold it herself.

She got to play in the pool in the floaty, and even went underwater a couple times, like her other cousins.

Borrowing some of her cousins toys, she was quite interested in some of them.

Half a Birthday to you

Today, Giselle is six months old.

Our trip is now over, and it is time to post all of the photos from the last two weeks.

Open Wide

Giselle eating her first meal a month ago. She eats her meal once a day before going to bed.

Meeting the Etheredges

Giselle and I left early in the morning on the 2nd and flew to Memphis, and then caught our second flight to Lafayette Louisiana. She did very well on the flight, fell asleep both times in take off. She was very friendly and even tried to jump into the arms of a sailor sitting next to us on the first flight.


So happy with her aunties, she kept giving them kisses.
