Started labor at 1:00 am on the 24th of February.
Juliet had just arrived to attend at the birth a short 11 hours previous.
Left for the hospital at 4:00 pm.
Thanks to the support of Andrew & Juliet and care of the head nurse, Jackie, I gave birth to our little girl in the wee hours of the morning on the 25th.
Laboring 27 hours is worth it after all.

Today I went in for another ultrasound to make sure she is healthy and has all the right parts. Got to see my active little one. At 32 weeks she's very healthy, wieghs 3 lbs. 15 oz., and is a whole 16 inches long.

On December 4th after one failed attempt to find out the sex of the baby, we went to 3D Baby and were able to find out we were having a baby girl.

The cord was in her face the whole time so we weren't able to get very good pictures.

Andrew is away for Janine's birthday, so Tony & Mel took me to my scheduled ultrasound for a regular checkup and to find out the sex. The nurse was taking all of the measurements etc, and throughout the entire time she continued to check between the legs to see the sex. The little lamb was so shy during the entire duration of the checkup, around 25 minutes, we were not able to find the sex. Looking into a 3d sonogram, because I don't know when they schedule another one, and we can't wait that long to be thinking of names and getting things ready for the Lamb's arrival.

At 12.5 weeks
Had a sonogram and checkup August 19th by Dr. Gustavo Quiros.
At 2.5 centimeters long and already very active.
Was very uncomfortable being up in stirrups until I saw you on the monitor, flailing your tiny little arms.

This is how it went
I had a suspicion that I was pregnant.
We were traveling at that time, on our way to visit Janine in Morelia, Mexico.
It was time to check to see if I was pregnant, so I bought Clear Blue, (that commercial totally suckered me in) and as I was so sure that I was in fact pregnant, I also purchased this lullaby caterpillar you see here.
Even though I had been so sure that I was pregnant, when I saw the little sign appear, I sat there for another half hour rubbing my sleepy eyes, just to make sure that it was real, before I broke the news to Andrew.

How we met last year
I had just come back from Europe and landed in Chicago. My set date to leave to Louisiana on my way back to Mexico, was July 2nd. But just two days before flying out my plans changed and I ended up changing my flight and staying on for a couple more weeks. Andrew flew into Chicago July 3rd. And that night we celebrated July 4th, early, with friends.
